A
new article
called "The
Games That
Really Ruined
The Atari
2600" is now
in the Gaming
Articles
section of
the Videogames
page. Also,
most of the
articles in
that section
that previously
didn't have
pictures to
go along with
the text now
have them.
Suzanne
Lipschitz,
the founder
of the Smurf
Collectors
Club International,
has recently
passed away.
MushroomVillage.com
has the
story
in their
message
board.

I've finally
got Glorious
Appearing,
the twelfth
and final
book of the
LEFT BEHIND
series, and
though it
isn't quite
as good as
what I'd thought
it to be,
it's still
an excellent
wrap-up.
The "death"
of the current
version of
The Quarter
Bin, surprisingly,
turned out
to be premature,
and I will
re-include
the link to
it as soon
as possible.
Some new links,
to Toonpedia
and Internet
Movie Database,
have been
added.
SATURDAY,
MARCH 20,
2004
Some "spring
cleaning"
was done to
the website,
which meant
checking for
dead links
that go nowhere
and replacing
them with
active links.
Sorry to say,
folks, that
SMURF!
Smurf Of The
90's,
the website
for fan-created
Smurf characters,
has now joined
the graveyard
of dearly
departed websites.
In its place
on the Links
page is 2
Inch PVC,
another Smurf
fan site dealing
in plastic
blue figurines.
Also, the
current version
of The
Quarter Bin
at www.quarterbin.net
is now dead,
but the old
version and
its address
is still active,
which is now
on there listed
as The
Quarter Bin
Archives.
FRIDAY,
DECEMBER 26,
2003
An updated
version of
the Glorious
Appearing
book "movie
trailer" is
now online
at the LEFT
BEHIND: Trials
& Tribulations
page, while
there is also
a new Gaming
Article
at the Videogames
page. The
"movie trailer"
features Robin
Mark's "What
The Lord Has
Done In Me"
from his Come
Heal This
Land album.

When was the
last time
you got excited
over getting
clothes for
Christmas
or your birthday
or as a gift
present? This
month's main
page image
has Empath
exulting with
joy over his
star-studded
Smurf suit
that he got
on his 150th
birthday.
Also, if you
have noticed,
the site banner
has been updated
and almost
all the pages
have an Atari
2600 cartridge
styled font
title on the
top.
WEDNESDAY,
NOVEMBER 26,
2003
The Who's
Who Of The
Smurf Universe
page has been
upgraded to
an i-Frames
format, and
now also has
picture links
to various
characters.
SATURDAY,
MAY 31, 2003
A new page
I've put on
my website
is The
Who's Who
Of The Smurf
Universe,
and on it
I'll try to
catalogue
Smurf characters
in the proper
categories
of The Original
100, The Newcomers,
Allies, Villians,
and those
that appear
only within
the EMPATH:
The Luckiest
Smurf
stories. What
I mean by
"The Original
100" is the
Smurfs who
are part of
the 100 Smurfs
of the village
circa the
1981-1982
cartoon show
season and
NOT additions,
NOT imaginary
characters
like Don Smurfo,
and NOT alternate
roles of existing
characters
like Dreamy
being Astrosmurf
or Brainy
being King
Smurf. (And
no, I am NOT
even considering
PVC-developed
characters!)
Though there
have been
ordinary Smurfs
that came
along to our
knowledge
of them over
time, those
ordinary Smurfs
will still
be considered
part of "The
Original 100"
and NOT part
of the Newcomers
on this page.
This is entirely
my view and
opinion on
the subject.
WEDNESDAY,
MARCH 26,
2003
Just some
more hand-drawn
material scanned
in (courtesy
of the new
printer/scanner
that was purchased
over the weekend
due to a backpayment
of SSI) and
featured in
the Big
Picture Gallery
page in addition
to the main
page image,
plus a new
article in
the Videogames
page about
"The Good
And Bad Of
Game Compilations".
As for the
various Papa
Smurfs that
appear in
the main page
image which
I call "Over-Papa-lated",
they are:
(Upper Row,
left to
right) Captain
Papa Smurf
of the starship
Smurfager,
Shepherd/Nomadic
Papa Smurf,
Martial
Arts Papa
Smurf, Jamaican
Papa Smurf.
(Middle
Row, left
to right)
Caveman
Papa Smurf,
Papa Smurf
with Empath's
star mark,
Indian Chief
Papa Smurf,
Purple Papa
Smurf.
(Lower Row,
left to
right) Ludwig
van Smurfthoven,
the Scarlet
Sword Smurfer,
Abraham
Lincoln
Smurf (no
moustache),
Papa Smurf
as a Smurfling,
Papa Smurf
with only
a moustache.

Armageddon
is only about
a month away...the
release of
the 11th book
of the LEFT
BEHIND
adult book
series, that
is. To get
the word out
about its
upcoming release,
I've created
a Shockwave
Flash Media
"movie trailer"
that lists
the primary
characters
of the series
(the ones
that are still
living at
the point
of The
Remnant,
that is) as
though they
are actors.
The music
that was used
for this is
the bridge
section of
"The Lion
Of Judah"
which comes
from Robin
Mark's Revival
In Belfast
album. Hopefully,
we may get
to read this
before the
real version
takes place,
but who knows
when that
may be, except
for the Lord?
Pray for the
leaders of
the United
States and
for the soldiers
that may be
called to
fight in the
war with Iraq.
The Armageddon
trailer can
be found on
the LEFT
BEHIND: Trials
& Tribulations
page.

Not really
much of an
update, but
just for mentioning
about the
loss of seven
astronauts
who were on
board the
space shuttle
Columbia when
it came down
for landing
yesterday.
I'm not sure
how I can
properly honor
their losses,
but I have
heard that
at least two
of the astronauts
became born-again
Christians
before they
perished!
Anyway, the
Empath and
Smurfette
image on the
main page
is the only
thing I can
find that
is appropriate
for honoring
the loss.
May their
families be
comforted
and the love
of God be
upon them.
SUNDAY,
JANUARY 26,
2003
Just trying
out a new
JavaScript
routine called
the internal
frame ("i-frame"
for short)
which would
allow for
sizeable frames
to appear
within pages,
which you
would most
likely have
seen on other
sites. Anyway,
I've incorporated
their use
with the navigator
buttons in
the EMPATH:
The Luckiest
Smurf
story sections
as well as
The Big
Picture Gallery,
The 3D
Smurf Figures
Gallery,
the Free
Background
Images
page, and
the Cartoon
Episode Guide
page. An important
thing to note,
however, is
that I've
heard these
things can
only be viewed
through Microsoft
Internet Explorer,
so these pages
may not be
accessible
through any
other browser.
WEDNESDAY,
JANUARY 15,
2003
Added two
more EMPATH:
The Luckiest
Smurf
stories,"Monkey
On Your Smurf"
and "The
Fear Of Smurfitude".
MONDAY,
JANUARY 13,
2003
Added some
LEFT BEHIND
characters
to the Superhero
Image Gallery.
TUESDAY,
JANUARY 7,
2003
A new page
section has
been added,
called the
Superhero
Image Gallery,
which features
images of
DC Comics
superheroes
done in the
style of the
Batman,
Superman,
and Justice
League
animated series.
Also some
new additions
to the Fabulous
Fakes
section of
the Videogames
page.
WEDNESDAY,
JANUARY 1,
2003
Welcome to
the new year!
I've done
some maintenance
work on my
site, changing
its address
slightly to:
http://www.angelfire.com/80s/vicgeorge01085/imagine.htm.
If you've
noticed, the
old address
now brings
up a welcome
screen which
will redirect
you to the
new address;
the same will
happen (for
now, anyway)
if you use
the shorter
http://imaginarium.shorturl.com.
All the pages
are back up
and running,
though it's
lost a few
pounds! The
Empath story
intro movies
and some of
the other
page intro
movies have
not yet returned,
nor has the
online games
of the Videogames
page or the
Smurf theme
song. If there
are any other
problems with
pages that
I may have
not noticed,
please drop
me a line
and let me
know.
MONDAY,
DECEMBER 16,
2002
Sorry if I
don't have
any "Christmas
decorations"
put up on
my site. I'm
trying to
focus more
on the meat
of the website
than anything
else. And
speaking of
the meat,
a new page
has been added
to this site,
called Jokey's
Comedy Mushroom,
which will
feature humor-based
articles,
jokes, funny
quotes, and
what-not.
If you're
looking for
adult material
to be featured,
however, look
elsewhere
-- like all
pages of my
website, Jokey's
Comedy Mushroom's
material will
be more for
children,
families,
and those
who love clean
inoffensive
humor.
The Totally
Smurfless
Animation
page will
be removed
and hopefully
replaced by
a new page
which features
all sorts
of short animated
GIF files.
Well, that's
all I have
to say. If
I don't update
this page
again before
Christmas,
let me wish
everyone a
Merry Christmas
and a Happy
New Year --
and if you
haven't received
Jesus Christ
as your Lord
and Savior
yet, please
make every
effort to
do so, because
He still loves
you and wants
you to be
free from
sin and with
Him for eternity.
This page
will show
you how.
SATURDAY,
NOVEMBER 30,
2002
Hope everybody
had a very
good Thanksgiving
dinner!
Some slight
updates: the
first being
that the Imaginarium
welcome banner
has been changed
to include
my homemade
smurfberry
texture background,
with a mix
of both comicbook-style
text and videogame-style
text (the
typeface used
for the Sega
Genesis logo
from 1989
to 1993) for
the "Welcome
To Vic George's
Imaginarium"
in the banner;
the second
update just
being a new
shorter URL,
imaginarium.shorturl.com,
that has been
provided free
of charge
by ShortURL.com,
so if you
want to use
that in your
list of links,
you can do
so.
For those
who access
pages like
LEFT BEHIND:
Trials And
Tribulations
and Harmony's
Joyful Noise
Page and
you see nothing
but a blank
screen, scroll
to the bottom
and click
on "Skip Intro"
-- those intros
can only be
seen if you
have Macromedia
Flash
installed
on your computer.
WEDNESDAY,
NOVEMBER 6,
2002
Due to some
testing I've
done through
other computers
and realizing
how the rotating
image script
doesn't work
on some computers,
I decided
to just remove
the script
and replace
it with the
usual single
"splash page"
image that
will get updated
on a monthly
basis. And
speaking of
those "splash
images", which
most of them
will appear
in The
Big Picture
Gallery,
I'm starting
to include
handmade images
by myself
that have
almost nothing
to do with
Smurfs among
what's currently
available.
The Videogames
page now has
some games
you can play
online, like
The
Gem Game,
Breakout,
and a Concentration
game with
various Smurf
character
heads for
you to match
up. I'd like
to come up
with some
original games
that can be
played online
as well.
SUNDAY,
NOVEMBER 3,
2002
I've been
experimenting
with the Javascript
routine for
the thumbnail
image navigator
used on the
Big Picture
Gallery,
3D Smurf
Figures Gallery,
and Free
Background
Images
pages, and
found out
that it can
be modified
for use in
navigating
sequential
webpages,
like the EMPATH:
The Luckiest
Smurf
stories. Hurrah!
So now all
four stories
have this
modified navigator
routine which
appears at
the bottom,
right above
the contents
frame. Try
them out sometime!
Another thing
I've been
experimenting
with are the
freeware file
converter
programs for
turning various
types of text
files into
PDF format
files that
can be read
through Adobe
Acrobat Reader.
I might end
up using these
in place of,
or in addition
to, the HTML
file versions
of the Reporter's
Inside Stories
pages and
the Gaming
Articles
pages.
Anyway, I've
just picked
up a copy
of LEFT
BEHIND II:
Tribulation
Force
and watched
it on Halloween
night. Pretty
good movie,
though again
like the previous
adaptation
of the LEFT
BEHIND
book, the
story varies
somewhat from
how the novel
reads. I'll
have images
from the movie
posted on
the Trials
& Tribulations
page soon,
hopefully
when I get
my ATI All-In-Wonder
TV tuner working
again.
TUESDAY,
OCTOBER 29,
2002
Some enhancements
and adjustments
have been
made to all
pages concerning
this site.
Among them:
1.
New highlightable
contents selection
menus to replace
the rather
sluggish cycling
color Smurf
head buttons,
plus if there's
a Smurf head
button next
to a text
box, you can
click on either
to go to whatever
page it will
take you.
2.
I have gone
through all
the pages
in my EMPATH:
The Luckiest
Smurf
stories to
make them
look very
professional
and readable;
there's also
a faint Imaginarium
logo that
appears in
the back of
those pages.
Ditto for
the Reporter's
Inside Stories
pages (the
faint background
image being
"Reporter's
Inside Stories"
in typewriter-style
text), with
the addition
of a new background
for the main
page.
3.
A new installment
of The Gaming
Articles in
the Videogames
page, plus
a new section
called Fabulous
Fakes where
you'll see
mock-ups of
boxes and
labels for
both existing
and non-existing
games (hopefully).
Other than
that, be careful
out there
this Halloween!
It's not exactly
a day you'd
want to go
through without
the Lord as
your shield!
THURSDAY,
OCTOBER 17,
2002
First off,
let me introduce
you to the
What's New?
page, which
you can access
directly from
the home page.
This will
be where all
such updates
will be dated
and recorded.
With that
out of the
way, here
is the list
of current
updates:
1.
The EMPATH:
The Luckiest
Smurf
story page
links now
have intro
sequences,
which you
can skip over
by hitting
the "Skip
Intro" link
if you're
having problems.
The LEFT
BEHIND: Trials
& Tribulations
and Harmony's
Joyful Noise
Page links
also have
them.
2.
The Big
Art Gallery
and 3D
Smurf Images
Gallery
pages now
have thumbnail
navigators
that will
allow you
to check out
the images
before you
click on the
Smurf head
to enlarge
them to actual
size view.
3.
Some new links
have been
added to my
links page.
4.
The Imaginarium
home page
now has a
rotating image
feature, which
lets you see
up to 20 different
images when
it is reloaded.
