SATURDAY, JANUARY 13, 2007

It's finally happened — my beloved Adam Family Computer System, which I had for the past 21 years, has finally joined the dearly departed among game systems and computers that I and/or my family have owned.  So now I have a dozen or so ColecoVision game cartridges that do not have any system to play them on.  Then again, I also recently purchased a Nintendo DS Lite handheld system in black with Super Mario 64 DS as the first DS game to break the system in with.  The Videogames page has now been updated to reflect the changes of the systems I own.

For those looking forward to Kingdom Come, the latest of the LEFT BEHIND books which follows Glorious Appearing, to come out in March as originally scheduled, Tyndale House Publishing has pushed its release date to April.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 19, 2006

Joe Barberra, the surviving half of the legendary Hanna and Barberra, has recently passed away.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 2006

Nothing new going on with the site, but I'd thought to share this:

For all the popularity the game show Jeopardy has had over the years, isn't it strange that nobody but me (and maybe some of you out there) even notices that its theme song sounds like that of the nursery rhyme song, "I'm A Little Teapot"?

First, listen to this MIDI of "I'm A Little Teapot", then listen to the MIDI of the Jeopardy theme song.

Then tell me if they don't sound very similar to each other.

THURSDAY, AUGUST 31, 2006

The original Star Trek series is getting a high-definition facelift with some new CGI effects to the original 79 episodes, and will be ready to be re-syndicated on regular television once HDTV becomes the standard for broadcasting.

Also forgot to mention that the LEFT BEHIND: Trials & Tribulations section has been updated in regards to the forthcoming epilogue story called Kingdom Come, which will be on sale March 2007.

Testing out new navigation window menus for the EMPATH: The Luckiest Smurf stories, where clicking on a chapter link will also work with the PREV and NEXT buttons, so that if you jump to any chapter, the PREV button will take you to the chapter before that one, and the NEXT button will take you to the chapter after that one..

THURSDAY, MAY 4, 2006

Not related to any updates on the site, but news nonetheless: if you wanted to have the entire original Star Wars trilogy (Episodes IV to VI) on DVD the way they were originally in the theatres — minus the "touch-ups" George Lucas gave them for the 1997 Special Edition releases and also for the original 2004 DVD trilogy set release — 20th Century Fox will be releasing them on DVD individually this coming September, with each movie being a 2-disk set that will include both the original and the 2004 versions.

SATURDAY, APRIL 1, 2006

No "April's foolery" on my part, just some updating work on the LEFT BEHIND: Trials & Tribulations page was done.

THURSDAY, MARCH 30, 2006

A long-need update to the Profile page was done, which includes a picture of my new nephew Damien (not my choice of a name; it's my half-brother's fault).  Meanwhile, my brother's site The Character G (or TCG-Comic) is undergoing changes.  Right now, the only thing you can do there is play with "virtual refrigerator magnets".

The self-publishing website Lulu.com link is now added to the Miscellaneous Sites section of the Links page.

MONDAY, MARCH 20, 2006

Two new links added to the Christian Websites section of the Links page: OnePlace.com, where you can hear all sorts of Christian-related audio programming, including the entire LEFT BEHIND Dramatic Audio Theater series; and Slice Of Laodicea, a blogspot for the "watchers on the wall" to keep believers aware of what's going in on Christendom.

TUESDAY, MARCH 14, 2006

Gone and went through the painful process of moving across town to my new (physical) address, and having to trade up computers again, since my last computer started getting into endless "warm-up" loops, but everything's getting settled now.

Some new links have been added to the Links page, including one to my brother's site.  Also, the Quarter Bin sites are closed, and their links are now replaced with those for Monitor Duty (formerly Fanzing) and Comic Book Resources, and some of the Utilities Websites links such as Angelfire and 250Free.com are now deleted.

The Big Picture Gallery is now being expanded upon and will continue to be expanded upon with more original (and Smurf-related) pictures.
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 18, 2006

A new welcome screen has been added due to the fact that the Imaginarium has now been upgraded for use with higher resolution screens rather than the original 800 x 600 pixel resolution that it was designed for. So if you are still using 800 x 600 screen resolution, you can now choose to see the site without having it being "letterboxed" as it is for higher resolution screens. Of course, there's still some work that needs to be done in order for the lower-res crowd to be able to see everything in this site without problems.

Also, all of the EMPATH: The Luckiest Smurf stories now have accessible Adobe Acrobat file versions that you can read if you have Adobe Acrobat installed on your computer.
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 17, 2006

A further update to the Gaming Article "The New Era Of Self-Contained Home Videogame Units" is now in the Videogames page section, covering the Atari Flashback 2.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 2006

The Imaginarium has been moved to this new address: http://www.vicgeo.tcg-member.com. However, if you're still using http://imaginarium.shorturl.com, it will also take you there as well.

Besides that change, there's also some changes to the Links To Other Great Sites page.
